We have some exciting news about the South Side Branch of the Bethlehem Area Public Library! While we are currently still operating on reduced hours, we’re getting closer to our full schedule.

Here’s the update:

  • This week (November 4th-7th), South Side will be open 2-6 p.m., Monday through Thursday, just like last week.
  • Starting Monday, November 11th, the South Side Branch will return to 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
  • We remain closed on Saturdays for now, but we’re hopeful for further improvements soon.

We appreciate your patience as we work toward full operations. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out! Thanks for your continued support of BAPL and our South Side Branch.

During this time, major disruptions to library service are expected. Please note the following:

  • NO computer access for adults at the Main Library
  • NO access to Main Library Adult Collections
  • VERY limited seating areas
  • NO access to Studio 11
  • Reserves/ILLs may still be picked up
  • Youth Services programming & other services will continue at the Main Library
  • Most scheduled events such as Yoga, Qigong, Library Clubs, and Lehigh Valley BookFest will continue as planned.
  • The March Book Sale has been cancelled
  • Items can still be returned in the outdoor book drop

Thank you for your patience as we work hard to improve the library. It’s going to better than ever very soon!
